TDK Corporation has launched its TDK-Lambda DTM250-D external AC-DC power supplies.

The new power supplies meets standards for DoE Level VI and EU Tier 2 v5 for average efficiency and off-load power. It is also certified to medical IEC 60601-1 and industrial IEC 60950-1 standards.

AC power is applied through a standard IEC 60320-C14 (3-prong) socket and the output DC cable is fit with a Molex Mini Fit output connector as a standard. The adapter also feature over-voltage and over-current protection. Other connector types are available by request.

The 250 W rated adapters are available with 12 V, 19 V, 24 V, 28 V, 36 V, 48 V and 54 V outputs and can operate in temperatures ranging from -20ºC to 60ºC. The power supplies series has an average efficiency of greater than 89% and an off-load power consumption of less than 0.15 W in order to meet DoE Level VI and EU Tier 2 v5 requirements.

TDK’s DTM250-D is housed inside a rugged, compact, vent-free enclosure that is 90 x 200 x 45 mm in size. It has been certified to IEC/ES/CSA/EN 60601-1, IEC/UL/CSA/EN 60950-1 and has CE mark for its low voltage, EMC and EoHS directives. All of the DTM250-D models meet IEC 60601-1-2 Ed4:2014, EN 55011-B, EN 55032-B, FCC Part 15 Class B, FCC Part 18 Class B emissions and immunity standards.

The touch current is <100µA, input to ground isolation is 1,500Vac, input to output 4,000VAC and output to ground 1,500VAC. The series is ideal for B and BF rated equipment with operation up to 5,000 m altitude.
