The Moto G72 will support 33W fast charging.
Motorola is on a launch spree. The brand has been releasing devices one after another under the G-series. After launching the Moto G32, Moto G42, and Moto G62 5G, the brand now appears to be gearing up for the launch of the Moto G72 as we just spotted the smartphone on a few certification websites. The upcoming Moto G72 with model number XT2255 has made an appearance on FCC, TDRA, BIS certifications, and the IMEI database.
The smartphone made an appearance on the FCC, TDRA, and IMEI databases with model number XT2255-1. Both these listings reveal the moniker of the device which is Moto G72. The smartphone also made an appearance on the Bureau of Indian Standards, so the India launch seems to be in the pipeline. Also, based on the BIS database listing, it appears that the Indian variant of the device will have model number XT2255-2.
The FCC listing for the upcoming Moto G-series smartphone reveals that the model number of the battery of the smartphone will be NE50. Whereas, the charging adapter will have the model numbers MC-331, MC-332, MC-333, MC-334, and MC-336. The TUV certification for the Motorola NE50 confirms that the Moto G72 will come equipped with a 5000mAh (typical capacity) battery unit, the rated capacity of the battery is 4700mAh.
The DEMKO certification for these chargers suggests that the smartphone could offer 33W fast charging support. The certification document reveals that the charger supports 15W (5V/3A), 27W (9V/3A), 30W (12V/2.5A), and 33W (11V/3A) power outputs. Apart from it, the FCC certification confirms that the Moto G72 will support NFC connectivity along with Bluetooth connectivity.
